    We do not store the actual conversation between you and your avatar.

  4. Audio Transcripts (User-Generated)

    If you upload an audio file (not during a live conversation), we store:

    • The original audio file (unless deleted by you)

    We do not store transcripts of the conversations you have with the avatar.

International Data Transfers

Although Bardo stores data in the European Union (GCP Europe-West3 and Supabase EU - Frankfurt), processing by AI vendors may occur in the United States, which does not have the same data protection laws as the EU. When transferring data outside the EU, we rely on:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
  • Other legally recognized safeguards

These safeguards ensure that your personal data remains protected.

Data Retention

We retain data as follows:

  1. Account Information

    Stored until you delete your account.

  2. Photos

    Stored permanently unless you delete your account.

  3. User-Provided Audio & Transcripts

    Stored until your account is deleted or you manually delete the media.

  4. Interaction Logs

    Stored for 12 months, then anonymized or deleted.

  5. Technical Logs

    Stored up to 30 days, unless needed to investigate abuse. When data is deleted, it may take up to 30 days for full removal from backups.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

You may not extract or use avatars outside of the Bardo platform.

We do not provide exports of generated avatars.
